![]() You can't finish the game without a bard, period. Make heavy use of Apport Arcane to teleport in, explore a segment, and plan on either having the survivors teleport out or just load the game after you run into a brick wall.Īh how much ich loved this game - i still have a folder full of maps me and my buddy were always drawing while playing it together. You should flatly expect that as you spend time in there you will run into ridiculous encounters and get wiped out or at least severely incapacitated. The real key, though, is to not even try to map out all of Mangar's Tower in one expedition. You'll often succeed, and that'll improve your longevity. If you roll a fight where there are too many instant death enemies to even hope to kill before they can act, try to run. I remember specifically that Demons are incredibly bad news, but there are other horrors waiting for you, so trial and error is the way to go. If you roll a fight where a couple of them show up, target them with everything, nuke them from orbit. Start being observant of the monsters you're fighting, some of them are hideous death machines that, if they're allowed to attack, will do horribly crippling and/or lethal things to you. ![]() Your problem is almost certainly not your party makeup you've got the correct idea that high-end spellcasters are the uberclass. You specifically mentioned getting maimed by Mangar's Tower. Oh my God, my knowledge of this game is finally useful for something!
